Getting excited because tonight I plan to do my first major dive into the second novel. All the plotting and double-checking is finally over and I can get to the part I love most--yes, the actual sprouting of words traveling from my fingers to the screen via my little keyboard.
I always feel hesitant before beginning the first dive into a story and before wrapping up that story. I suppose it sums me up quite well. Shy at first, but once I get to know a friend I don't like saying goodbye. And my books are friends. No, I don't talk to them or expect them to talk to me--unless we're being metaphorical here. But so many feelings get absorbed into each story that at times it feels like part of you. Because it is. And letting those emotions go so you can move on can be kind of hard to do.
Nevertheless, that's part of the job. And I'm looking forward to spending time with Bridget again. As well as a few other notable characters in her world. A few questions will be answered. But be prepared for new ones to pop up as Bridget explores a world she's only caught glimpses of in the past in order to find the truth and save Felix.
