My mother's condition has stabilized enough to the point where the doctors can now assess how extensive a heart surgery she'll need. We're hoping nothing more than a minimal surgery will be needed. But we're still praying for everything to work out. On top of this news I've found great reviews for Priestess Under Fire popping up on Goodreads and Barnes & Noble. I thought I'd share them with everyone since they make me smile. And please, remember to leave a review if you pick up a copy of Priestess Under Fire. It helps out other readers as well as me.

5 stars: Amazing! This book has kept me entertained from the very start! Bridget's crush on Felix is kinda annoying but I am hoping she will open up and let another certain guy in;)Hope you enjoy books about almost every mythical creature because this book is packed with them. Also another good author is Chanda Hahn so check her out I promise she will not dissapoint:)

5 star (thanks Debra! It's due to wonderful people like you that I was able to publish Priestess Under Fire.) I am so excited because this author is a friend of mine who is trying to get her first book published. I am honored to be one of the first people to read this book. Except for a few exceptions, this is not the genre that I normally read. But I have to say, despite that, I stayed interested and entertained. You are following the story of Bridget. A 19-year-old who spent her childhood being bounced from foster home to foster home. She was never kept at one place long due to her continual intense nightmares and dark, demonic sketches. Now, as an adult, she is still having the nightmares and trying to cope with her sketching. At the same time she has a job at the local coffee shop/bakery where she has a huge crush on her boss. Little does she know, her whole life is about to be turned upside down. She very suddenly finds out that almost every single person around her is not who, or what, they appear to be and that she's the only one in the dark.
I have to say that Ms. Blake's battle scenes are absolutely spot-on in their descriptions. I was able to follow all the action with no problems. Also, her descriptions of the characters when they change into their "true" selves, is awesome.
One other thing that I found added to my enjoyment was the sarcastic humor throughout the story. It was in no way heavy-handed or forced.
I highly recommend you check out the author's website at http://samanthablake.weebly.com/ for more information. This book will be the first in the Priestess Under Fire series.
